Talking about the benefits of the understanding of the Principles… What about happiness?
Many people equate happiness with excitement, positivity, being full of energy and excitement. They believe it takes work and effort and achieving results to get to happiness — and if we use such definition, it certainly does.
However, after a while many realize that that kind of happiness is fleeting. So they put more effort, and more strain on themselves, work even harder to be happy more of the time. They live unhappy lives to — if they manage — become happy for a few moments, hours or days, and then dive back into the cycle.
What if happiness was the default?
The truth is, we can find lasting happiness in who we are, in the fact of being alive. This kind of happiness is always there as long as we are there, as long as we do not trick ourselves into believing that we lack something, that we need something, otherwise we cannot allow ourselves to be happy. And it is surprisingly more fulfilling that the kind I wrote at the beginning.
Even better, when we discover this kind of happiness and stop believing we need certain results, we find out that it becomes much easier to take action and achieve those results. And even if it takes long time or we decide to switch the direction at a midpoint, it is OK. We are still happy with the life we live and with who we are.
Do you think this kind of happiness is worthy?
